Manatee County
Stoneridge Inc., based in Ohio, has acquired Hi-Stat Manufacturing (941/355-9761), located at 7292 26th Court E. in south Manatee County, for $362 million. Hi-Stat employs 650 workers and had $157 million in annual sales in 1998.
Benderson Development Co. is building three 100,000-sf spec office/warehouse buildings at U.S. Hwy. 301 and Tallevast Rd. Arch/Eng: Gee & Jenson Engineers Architects Planners.
Pasco County
Kimco Realty Corporation has purchased the 275,203-sf Piers shopping center at U.S. Hwy. 19 and Tacoma Way, Port Richey, for $9.95 million from Euro American Management Inc. Transaction handled by Cushman & Wakefield, Jim Michalak (813/223-6300).
Pinellas
The Nicklaus Family plans an expansion at the Best Western Sirata Beach Resort, 5390 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach. The $10.5-million project will add 80 hotel rooms and a 10,000-sf conference center. Arch: Wedding Stephenson & Ibarguen Architects Inc. Contractor: Metric Constructors (813/289-0357).
Polk
