A remote control video camera for aquariums
Sarasota inventor and entrepreneur Barry Fox is marketing
his newest invention: the SubVoyager, an “attraction”
that allows aquarium visitors to control an underwater
video camera and transmit video back to a kiosk. The
cost: $1 for three minutes. Fox says the SubVoyager
system (www.subvoyager.com) is up and running at the
Miami Seaquarium; Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in
Tacoma, WA; Denver’s Downtown Aquarium; and the
South Carolina Aquarium. He installs the system for free,
he says, and shares the profits with the aquariums.
