Criminal
Degree Online
Tampa
Bay Region
Saint
Leo University, one of the nation's largest providers of multimedia
online accredited bachelor's degrees, has announced the addition
of an online Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice to
give law enforcement candidates and current law enforcement
officials the knowledge needed for a career in criminal justice.
College
officials believe that while traditional campus-based college
degree programs fit schedules of some working adults, law
enforcement professionals aren't as flexible in their schedules.
The Saint Leo University Online Bachelor of Arts in Criminal
Justice Degree program now makes it possible for law enforcement
candidates and professionals to earn their Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Criminal Justice entirely online without setting
foot on campus. It provides this service through its partnership
with the University Alliance, a Bisk Education Network, (www.universityalliance.com).

The Tampa Bay International Technology Showcase is scheduled
to be held in Tampa in March. The event will bring together
new and established technology companies seeking investment,

will meet with key players in the international corporate
finance field. The idea is to send a message that the Tampa
Bay area is ripe for high tech business. "Tampa's position
in the Florida high tech corridor and its reputation as the
gateway to Latin America make it the ideal location to bring
industry, professions, technology and innovation together,"
said Madeleine Krasne of TTC Group, organizer of the event.

to develop technology-related careers. In December 2001 the

a $2.4 million federal grant to help public schoolteachers
become proficient in technology. The money will be awarded
during three years to the College of Education and will support
an initiative to help educators reshape their teaching with
technology-based strategies. Several Hillsborough and Pasco
